Traditional cod
is a type of fish which belong to the family
Gadidae. It is a very popular fish. The cod
has flaky white flesh and a delicate flavor

Fresh cod is uniformly white and bright. Cod
flesh is resilient and not mushy. Reef cod is
a medium sized fish around 6-20 pounds. Earlier,
at one point of time, cod was salted at sea
for preservation, but now it is frozen.
Reef cod was
earlier used only in fast food restaurants.
But now it is used even in the more expensive
eating places. Therefore, cod which is frozen
at sea is more expensive now.
Reef cod can
be prepared in very many ways: baking, poaching,
grilling. As it is extremely versatile, it can
be cooked in very many ways, each probably tastier
than the last.
This fish can
be found in the fish tanks of some of Asia's
classiest restaurants. The wealthy Asians annually
consume 25 thousand tones of live fish.
