Siam Canadian launches meat division, targets new markets The new division will be based in Poland: September 7, 2018
Established frozen seafood supplier Siam Canadian is targeting new markets and is officially launching itself into the frozen meat business.
Along these lines, the Asian-based company is establishing a new entity to be based in Europe: Siam Canadian – Meat Division.
The new division is headed by Justyna Popielska, who will be based in her home town of Szczecin, Poland.
“The objective of the new division is to quickly build a significant position in the meat industry much in the same way that Siam Canadian has already realized in the frozen seafood sector,” said Jim Gulkin, managing director of the Siam Canadian Group.
“I am confident Justyna will achieve this and we will aggressively continue to grow the meat division as we go forward.”
Popielska brings with her a wealth of experience trading in a wide range of meat products, sourcing from a broad group of suppliers in South America, North America, Europe as well as Asia to established buyers in Asia and beyond.
Siam Canadian’s current annual sales exceed $325 million (€279.7 million).
“I am confident that the new meat division and a European presence will help fuel Siam Canadian’s further growth and diversification into new markets,” said Richard Williams, director of group business development at Siam Canadian.
